- Welcome Cholo Maputol! Could you please introduce yourself and Play it forward DAO to our community?
Hello — I’m the CEO and Co-Founder of Play It Forward DAO. Before making the jump to GameFi, I built a long career in investment banking and capital markets with a focus on Southeast Asia so this region is very close to my heart.
Play It Forward DAO is the future growth engine of the Metaverse — combining a player pool of 3,000+ scholars with a guild management platform with 20,000+ users. We aim to redefine Play-to-Earn by making it more accessible and enabling a Plug-and-Play Metaverse.
2. There are already many well-known guilds &$ dao projects, what features or advantages does PIF have to make sure it stands out?
First off, by our estimates we are the 3rd largest guild in the world and our profit margin of 50% is higher than most other guilds. We pride ourselves in being the first institutionally run guild — paying our players in fiat and automating majority of our tools and processes.
Second, we are building a guild management platform designed to onboard the next wave of players into the Metaverse. P2E Board (our platform’s name) will make it super easy for managers and players in the future to get started and monitor their GameFi journey in one place.
3. What GameFi projects do you work with at the moment? What’s your criteria to choose new partners?
We currently have scholarships deployed in Axie Infinity, Thetan Arena, Pegaxy, and Dragonary and we continue to grow those player bases actively and organically. We have also signed up partnerships with up-and-coming games like Sipher, Summoners Arena, Nitro League, Avarik Saga, Blockchain Monster Hunt, and Ethlas.

4. Many community members are interested in play-to-earn(P2E). Could you please introduce what is P2E, what a scholar is and how to apply to be a scholar within Play it Forward Dao?
Play-to-Earn is based on the revolutionary idea that players should be rewarded for their performance in games — that gaming is fun AND rewarding. But because of the strong financial incentives, getting started in Play-to-Earn is expensive and is out of reach for most players in the developing world.
That’s where guilds like PIF DAO come in and help provide scholars in underserved communities access to this space. By purchasing the NFT assets needed to get started and leasing them to scholars — in return for playing, scholars get a share of the earnings they make in the game.

5. What is a PIF token? What role does PIF play in the ecosystem?
The $PIF token unlocks the full suite of benefits for holders under the DAO. Among a number of use cases it will:
- Be used to get rewards and share in DAO profits via the staking pools
- Used as payment for premium tools and services under P2E Board
- Token value accrual also comes by way of increase in value of our investments in P2E governance tokens and NFT assets
- Token holders get access to exclusive NFT drops (both DAO NFTs and in-game NFTs)
6. What’s your roadmap?
We’ve been operating at a frenetic pace, growing our guild from 30 players to 3,000+ players in the span of 6 months and expanding from 1 country to 2 countries. We’re not stopping here — we’re already running pilot programs in new countries (Vietnam, Bangladesh) and will explore more markets soon.
We’re also hard at work in the lab to curate the best of what play-to-earn has to offer and bring these games to our community — we want to bring more positive financial outcomes to more players globally.
Finally, we are in the last phase of preparation for public launch of our guild management platform, P2E Board. Upon public launch, this platform will allow any manager and scholar to easily track their P2E journey in one place, building up an immutable profile for use in their Metaverse journey.

Copper launch is structured as a fair auction and hence the price of $PIF tokens moves in tandem with the amount of buying or selling interacting with the contract. As time progresses, the price will tend to go down IF no buyers come in to purchase $PIF. Similar to a Dutch auction, you can wait for the price to go lower to your desired level, but there’s no guarantee it will get there if more buyers emerge during the auction.
To participate, you’ll need a couple of things:
- A wallet that can interact with the copper website — MetaMask and Trust Wallet works wonders in this regard
- You’ll need some USDC or ETH to purchase the token and some ETH for gas — make sure you have enough for the amount you wish to buy
- Hop on over to the link above, connect your MetaMask to the site, give the site permission, enter the amount you wish to buy and click BUY. That’s it — after the transaction gets confirmed on the network, you’ll be the proud owner of $PIF

- Congrats on successfully raising 6 million. Can you brief us about your partnerships? And what power they hold in the PIF ecosystem?
We have multiple game partnerships confirmed and lined up and we are most excited about these and the impact they will have on our ecosystem. Most importantly, we are focused on bringing more and more interesting games to our players and help them benefit from Play-to-Earn.
Our partners and subDAOs will be our long-term collaborators as we grow the Play-to-Earn space. They will get priority to being onboarded to our platform (P2E Board) and also priority in terms of getting our players deployed in their games.

2. PIF aims to be the centre hub in decentralising the whole P2E metaverse through empowering scholars. How do you plan to achieve this? Will there be a general profiling system for scholars that would span across different guilds?
Our guild management platform, P2E board will allow guild managers and players to track their progress in Metaverse and their earning journey throughout Play-to-Earn.
Over time, these players can take this performance data that spans different guilds and games and use such data to apply for their next scholarship.
We will empower every participant in play-to-earn to control their destiny moving forward.
3. What is your initial price at Copper Launch and what is the lowest it can go?
Our copper launch auction will start from ~$1.27 and slowly decrease in price to ~$0.07 if no buyers come in to purchase tokens.
As interested investors, you can wait for a price that’s attractive for you to enter although there’s no guarantee it will go to a low price if buying demand is strong.
Ultimately, we went with this structure and opened the auction for 3 days to ensure our community have the flexibility to come in at the right price that is a good fit for them and to wait for a window when the prices and gas fees are suitable for them.
